Go, Buckeyes! Stay Safe and Healthy!

Dear Students:

We are entering what promises to be another exciting weekend. While we all want to enjoy ourselves, please remember to stay safe and healthy and recognize that our gatherings must look different as a result of the ongoing coronavirus threat.

We strongly encourage our entire Buckeye family to make every game a "home" game, whether you watch from your residence hall or your house off-campus. We must continue to prioritize the safety of our fellow Buckeyes by limiting gatherings to 10 people or less, wearing masks and practicing physical distancing.

Organizations and individuals will be held accountable for unsafe behaviors. The Student Conduct team will pursue interim suspensions for student organizations or individuals in attendance at large parties that do not follow safe and healthy guidelines.

The Office of Student Life is working with the Department of Athletics to offer additional on-campus options. Tailgate food will be served in dining halls through Saturday, TVs will be tuned in for kickoff in common spaces and giveaways may be awarded.

As you make your weekend plans, please keep these recommendations in mind to maximize safety at your celebrations:

  • Watch at home with the friends and roommates you've been spending time with routinely.
  • Watch outside if weather permits.
  • Keep your game day crew to 10 people or less.
  • Wear masks and stay at least 6 feet apart.

More fun and safe ways to enjoy game day are being developed weekly, so be sure to follow the Office of Student Life and Ohio State Athletics on social media for more information.

We thank you for taking this seriously and recognizing that we all need to do our part to stay on campus together.
