Update to academic calendar: A message from the Provost

Dear students, faculty and staff:

Thank you for your hard work to adjust to the many disruptions caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. We have taken each step to safeguard the health and well-being of the Ohio State community while continuing to advance our academic mission.

We want to ensure that students and faculty do not lose time for teaching and learning because of the extension of spring break and resumption of classes on Monday, March 23. Therefore, we are adjusting the end of the academic calendar for spring semester so that there are nearly the same number of days for education.

Therefore:

  • The final day of classes will be Friday, April 24
  • Finals will be conducted from Monday, April 27, through Friday, May 1.
